Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council shares with the Pastor a role of leadership in identifying the pastoral needs of the parish and in the building up of the Body of Christ by welcoming God's faithful in a caring, Christian community. The Council consists of thirteen ordinary members elected by the parish, as well as ex-officio members. The administration of parish activities is coordinated through Standing Committees including, for example, Liturgy, Christian Education, Parish and Community Life, and Social Action. Current members of the Council include Fr. Ron Coyne (Pastor/Chairperson), Sheila Campbell (Vice-Chairperson), Fr. Garrett Barry, Fr. Vin Maffei, Deacon James Eames, Patricia Abbett, Jason Adams, Madeline Brennan, James Clark, Thomas Dugan, Jackie Dugan, Shirley Delvecchio, Vilma Gonzalez, James Hurley, Pascale Limage, Kevin Reilly, Jean Riguel-Ulysses, Cheryl Singleton, Stanley Smith, and Robert Tripp.

Robyn, along with her husband and two children, are long-time parishioners at St. Mary's and have been active in many parish events. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful young woman with tremendous energy to lead this important ministry. Robyn's responsibilities include:

  • Focus on high school at first
  • Be present for Religious Education classes
  • Explore the possibility of youth liturgies
  • Network with the Archdiocese of Boston
  • Coordinate our adult volunteers
  • Work in conjunction with Religious Education Program
  • Coordinate parish sports & social activities
  • Publicize activities (bulletins, papers, web site, etc.)
  • Regularly attend staff meetings

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which those who are not baptized, or those who were baptized into other Christian denominations, prepare to be initiated into the Catholic faith. This process also includes those we were baptized Catholic and wish to complete their initiation by receiving the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. For more information, contact Deacon James Eames at (781) 963-4141.

Music Ministry
The goal of the music ministry is to enhance the weekend and special liturgies wth inspirational and uplifting music. We have an Adult Choir that ministers through their singing at the 10:00 a.m. Mass every Sunday (formal choir September - May and informal choir June - August). Our repetoire consists of a wide variety of music ranging from contemporary praise songs to classical choral works. New members age 15 & up are always welcome. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evening from 7-8:30 from September through May. For more information, please see Felicia Kopelman-Hayes after any of the Masses, or call the Parish Center at (781) 963-4141.

Family Religious Education Program
St. Mary’s parish is committed to the faith formation of all ages, leading each person to a relationship with Jesus Christ and into discipleship. Formal classes are offered beginning in Kindergarten through the sacrament of Confirmation in grade 11, with many adult topics offered. Sacrament preparation is incorporated in our classes for Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation. Integral to this faith formation are our Family Masses, where students and family come together to participate in various ministries. Our Peer Leader Team is indispensable for the formation of our junior high and senior high students. The foundation of all formation is our excellent staff of volunteer catechists, who also participate in on-going formation. For more information contact: Mrs. Patricia O’Connor, Religious Education Director, or Mrs. Julie Pantazelos, Administrative Assistant, at (781) 961-5009.
